A lovely collaboration with Krista from Avlea Folk Embroidery: Regal peacocks strut across this specialty fabric with vibrant colors.
Your choice of a round or square frame in any standard finish. Personal favs: the White stain gives a Scandinavian vibe, while the Walnut frame is a classic.
Krista describes this kit: A terrific project to experience folk embroidery, the Vlachernai Peacocks cross stitch kit is a gloriously regal design featuring jewel-toned peacocks, a symbol of renewal and rebirth frequently seen in Byzantine art, especially decorations used at the imperial palace of Vlachernai in Constantinople.
Kit includes: 30ct Mikini fabric, 6" beechwood hoop, full color chart and instructions, DMC floss, John James needle and felt backing.
Stitch count: 71 x 73 stitch area/2528 cross stitches
