Mr. Oval is sometimes difficult to match properly to a Frame. We’ve taken the guesswork out! This listing includes BOTH a 5x8” oval beechwood hoop with brass fittings AND a frame, in your choice of finish, made to fit the hoop.
Choose from either hoop orientation: Screw on the Wide Side, or Screw on the Narrow End. Both hoops will fit in the frame. The frame can then be hung in either orientation on the wall, according to the ART you’ve made for the middle.
Specific Dimensions: Outer hoop dimensions are 5 1/8” x 8 3/16” x 3/8”. Your visible fabric in the hoop will be 4 3/4” x 7 7/8”. The frame will cover approximately 1/8” of fabric around the edges of the opening.
This frame is cut from furniture-grade birch plywood and finished with a natural oil finish or stain in several colors that enhance the wood grain and layers of the plywood. Each frame is slightly different in wood grain and side ply profiles. This makes it interesting, but in a way that doesn’t distract from the main event there in the middle. You worked hard on that! There’s wiggle room for minor adjustments when inserting your hoop. Hang it flush on the wall with simple nails and keyholes OR with command strips.
