This frame has a trick up her sleeve. Two posts inserted into the back allow for a graceful presentation on a table top or mantel. This was first developed for a Bride who wanted to display a wedding hoop at her guest book table. Well, what a charming idea! Let’s do that again!

Assembly is very straightforward. We don’t use glue or fasteners that could damage your hoop. Video

We use furniture-grade birch plywood for our frames. The frames are 3/4” thick.

DIMENSIONS: This frame fits standard embroidery hoops with a screw tensioner. The frame will usually cover about an 1/8" of the fabric of your work. Typical sizes as follows:

  • For a 3" hoop: These hoops are typically 3.4" in diameter. The frame is 5" in diameter and has an interior opening of 3".

  • For a 4" hoop: These hoops are typically 4.2" in diameter. The frame is 6" in diameter and has an interior opening of 3.8".

  • For a 5" hoop: These hoops are typically 5.25" in diameter. The frame is 7.3" in diameter and has an interior opening of 4.8".

  • For a 6" hoop: This size hoop varies A LOT!! 

    • Most Common, 6”regular: Hoops are typically 6.25" in diameter. The frame is 8.5" in diameter and has an interior opening of 5.7".  

    • 6"-small: If you have a finished hoop that measures ~6.0" across rather than 6.25", order the "6 small" alternative. The frame is 8.25" in diameter and has an interior opening of 5.5".

    • 6”-large: If you have a finished hoop that measures 6.5” across rather than 6.25”, order the “6 large” alternative.The frame is 8.75" in diameter and has an interior opening of 6".

  • For a 7" hoop: These hoops are typically 7 3/8th in diameter. The frame is 9.35" wide and has an interior opening of 6.75".

  • For a 8" hoop: 

    • Most Common, 8”regular: These hoops are typically 8 3/8" in diameter. The frame is 10.4" wide and has an interior opening of 7.8".

    • 8"-small: If you have a finished hoop that measures 7.9" across rather than 8 3/8", order the "small" alternative. The frame is 10" in diameter and has an interior opening of 7.4".

  • For a 9" hoop: These hoops are typically 9 3/8th in diameter. The frame is 12" wide and has an interior opening of 9".

  • For a 10" hoop: 

    • 10”small: These hoops are typically 10 3/8" in diameter. The frame is 12 3/8" wide and has an interior opening of 10".

    • Most Common, 10”lrg: These hoops are typically 10 5/8" in diameter. The frame is 12.5" wide and has an interior opening of 10".

  • For a 12" hoop: These hoops are typically 12 1/8th in diameter. The frame is 14.5" wide and has an interior opening of 11.5".

  • For a 14" hoop: 

    • Most Common, 14” small: These hoops are typically 14 1/8" in diameter. The frame is 16 1/8" wide and has an interior opening of 13 5/8".

    • 14" large: If you have a finished hoop that measures 14 3/8" across, order the "large" alternative. The frame is 16.3" wide and has an interior opening of 13.8".

  • For Ovals with the screw on the end/top: If you have the 8.25x5.25 oval hoops of the "Pointy" variety and have the screw at the pointy END. These frames will hang either horizontally or vertically.
