Heirloom Frames: 9", 10", 12"

Some projects are special. You’ve poured hours and hours of yourself into the stitching for that really special occasion or that really special person— that hoop needs an upgrade! Let’s give it a beautiful frame so it lives on the wall for years.

Here are the frames for your ambitious, large projects. Sized for hoops that are 9”, 10”, or 12” diameter. (Note: 14’s are available too, but you’ll have to message me to check a few extra dimensions.) These frames fit standard embroidery hoops with screw tensioners. The frame will usually cover about an 1/8" of the fabric of your work.

We use furniture-grade birch plywood for our frames. They are 3/4” thick. Each piece of wood absorbs the stains uniquely.

But, how big is my hoop? Measure from the outside left of the outer hoop ring to the outside right, straight across the middle. Best to have the fabric IN the hoop. Write down the measurement to the nearest 1/8”.

9” hoops: Typical hoops have a diameter of 9 3/8”. The frame is 12” wide and has a center opening of 9”.

10” hoops: Typical hoops have a diameter of 10 5/8” (That’s right! bigger than 10.5”!) The frame is 13” wide and has a center opening of 10”. An alternative size is available for 10 3/8 hoops, via message.

12” hoops: Typical hoop have a diameter of 12 1/8”. The frame is 14.5” wide and has a center opening of 11.5”.

14” hoops: We need to confirm your hoop size before shipping 14’s! Typical hoops are 14 1/8” or 14 3/8”.
