Bubble Frame

These are available for 4”, 6”regular, and 8”regular hoops.
MATERIALS and FINISHES: We use furniture grade birch plywood for our frames. They are 3/4” thick. Finish Options are pictured above and include: Natural Oil, White Stain, Walnut Stain, Black Stain, Unfinished. Each piece of wood absorbs the stains uniquely.
HOOP DIMENSIONS: This frame fits standard embroidery hoops with a screw tensioner. The frame will usually cover about an 1/8" of the fabric of your work. Typical sizes as follows:
For a 4" hoop: These hoops are typically 4.25" in diameter.
For a 6" hoop: These hoops vary A LOT!! Hoops are typically 6.25" in diameter.
ALTERNATIVE 6"-small: If you have a finished hoop that measures 6" across rather than 6.25", order the "small" alternative. (Special Request for a Bubble Frame.)
ALTERNATIVE 6”-XL: If you have a finished hoop that measures 6.5” across rather than 6.25”, order the “XL” alternative. (Special Request for a Bubble Frame.)
For a 8" hoop: These hoops are typically 8 3/8" in diameter. The frame is 11" in diameter and has an interior opening of 7.8".
ALTERNATIVE 8"-small: If you have a finished hoop that measures 7.9" across rather than 8.375", order the "small" alternative. (Special Request for a Bubble Frame.)
This frame is built to fit a standard wooden embroidery hoop.
Typically, a “4in” hoop is approximately 4.2” across. We’ve built in a little wiggle room for the hoops to vary in size and for you to center your work. The frame’s center opening is 3.85” diameter. The frame measures 7.5” wide and 6” tall.
Typically, a “6in” hoop is approximately 6.25” across. The frame’s center opening is 5.75” diameter. The frame measures 10.5” wide and 8” tall.
NOTE: 6” hoops VARY A LOT in our industry. This is for what I call the “Regular” size. If you need “Small” or “XL”, please message me and I can make it for you.
Typically, an “8in” hoop is approximately 8.375” across. The frame’s center opening is 5.75” diameter. The frame’s center opening is 7.8” diameter. The frame measures 13 3/8” wide and 10 3/8” tall.
NOTE: Some hoops sold as “8” hoops” (Talkin’ to you, Amazon!) are actually significantly smaller and measure 7.9” across. Please message me about the “small” version for a better fit.
